Estulin aclara que el papa pensaba renunciar el 21 de diciembre de 2012, fecha que no tiene nada que ver con el calendario maya, sino con "el fin de una gran era". Dimitir esta fecha sería "arriesgado dadas las circunstancias y el simbolismo", explica.
Interpelado sobre si una persona más joven al frente al Vaticano podría cambiar la imagen de la entidad, Estulin se muestra escéptico, porque -afirma- lo que deberían de cambiar es "la forma de entender, de cómo funciona el mundo, y eso es una cosa que difícilmente van a entender porque el eje está en manos de la masonería". Según el periodista, "o destrozas la masonería y la eliminas de la Iglesia, o lo que vas a tener de aquí a un futuro va a ser aún peor".
